The Executive Chairman of Odeda LG, Hon. Folasade Adeyemo, alongside other council Chairmen in Ogun State under the aegis of Association of Local Governments of Nigeria, (ALGON), Ogun State Chapter, today, visited the former Governor of the State, Chief Olusegun OSOBA, following his return to Nigeria, after a successful knee surgery in the United Kingdom.
The council helmsmen, led by their Chairman, Alhaji Babatunde EMILOLA-GAZAL, were at the Abeokuta home of the Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, to greet him, and also wish him a speedy recovery.
Alhaji EMILOLA-GAZAL who is the Executive Chairman of Ijebu Ode Local Government, while speaking during the visit, eulogized Chief OSOBA, as he sang some of his favourite songs to his admiration.
He also reeled out some of his achievements as the Governor of Ogun State, noting that his tenure shall remain indelible in the annals of governance in Ogun State.
The Executive Chairman of Odeda LG, Hon Folasade Adeyemo, while speaking to our correspondent, gave thanks to the Almighty for bringing Baba back safely to his fatherland and further prayed that God would endue Baba with long life in sound health.
Responding, Chief OSOBA appreciated the Chairmen for the visit, which, according to him, will aid his healing process. He also prayed for them, as he wished them a successful tenure.
Chief OSOBA went down memory lane about some of his projects, urging the Chairmen to also embark on projects that will stand the test of time, and equally outlive their tenure.
He also prayed for Gov. ABIODUN, and thanked him and his executive council members for their earlier visit to him in Lagos.
He said he had purposely come to Abeokuta to host the Chairmen, because of their grassroot inclination.
