This year edition of Ikare Day was very glamorous, fun-filled and memorable as various illustrious sons and daughters of Ikare Town, Akoko North East Area of Ondo State graced the occasion which yearly foster unity among every family and ethnic-cultural societies related to Ikare town.
The highlights of this year Ikare Day, However is the installation of the Iyaloja General of Nigeria, chief Mrs. Folsade Tinubu-Ojo as the AARE ATAJESE of IKARE LAND; the titled conferred on her by His Royal Majesty, Oba Momoh Akadiri, The Olukare of Ikare Kingdom IV in the presence of every high chiefs, sons and daughters of Ikare Land.
Several captains of Industries were there to celebrate the new General of Ikare Economy, Chief Mrs. Folasade Tinubu-Ojo on her new chieftancy title.
The Aare Atajese of Ikare Land received her new title with thanks to God Almighty, The Olukare and his Council, the Oloris and all the great people of Ikare Land, She supported the ongoing Ikare town-hall projects financially and also promised to take Ikare Land as her second home due to the warm regards and reception meted out to her team members and all the guests in attendance.
Several Independent support groups for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu were in attendance to give moral support to one of their own; among which are BAT PROJECT’23, Nigerians in Diaspora for Tinubu, Evans for Tinubu Shettima etc.
The political class were not left behind as all the notable political candidates seized the opportunity to market themselves to their people,they also supported the town-hall project according to their individual capacities.
The Olukare of Ikare Land in his closing remark charged all the sons and daughters of Ikare to shun Violence and embrace peace as we approach the core campaign period, He thanked his Excellency, Arakunrin Akeredolu Aketi for the duallization of Ikare township road and several other life enhancing projects he carried out across Akoko North East.
