On Thursday, February 26, 2026, the Executive Chairman of Ikeja Local Government, Hon. Akeem Olalekan Dauda (AKOD), paid a working visit to the Iyaloja-General of Nigeria, Chief Dr. Mujidat Folasade Tinubu-Ojo, at her Alausa office. He was accompanied by his Vice Chairman, Hon. Abisola Omisore, the Councilor representing Ward F at the Ikeja Legislative Council, Hon. Ganiyu Lawal, and other top officials of the local government.
The purpose of the visit was to strategize on mobilizing eligible voters to register with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and to encourage active participation in the forthcoming 2027 general elections.
During the visit, the Chairman also unveiled a utility bus donated to Ikeja Local Government by the Renewed Hope Ambassador, Lagos State Chapter, under the leadership of His Excellency, Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu.
The Iyaloja-General officially commissioned the bus for immediate use. She urged stakeholders across Ikeja Local Government to intensify efforts in ensuring that every eligible citizen registers for their voter’s card. She further called on all well-meaning Nigerians to mobilize those around them to take part in the electoral process.
