The Authentic Nigeria Football and Allied Supporters Club has unveiled Chief Dr. Mujidat Folasade Tinubu-Ojo, The Iyaloja-General of Nigeria as its new matron in a historic appointment.
The National President of the Club, Prince Abayomi Ogunjimi described the appointment as a milestone in the growth and influence of ANFASSC.
In her remarks, the Iyaloja-General expressed her commitment to the success of Nigerian Sports; particularly that of the National teams. She gave her blessings to the super Eagles as they continue in their quest to secure a slot to participate in the 2026 FIFA World Cup. She charged the team to embrace the spirit of togetherness, teamship, and patriotism as she reaffirmed her unflinching support for the team in its qualifiers campaign.
“Football is not only a unifying force, but also a tool that showcases the spirit, resilience, and strength of Nigeria to the rest of the World” She added.
The unveiling ceremony also featured special prayers from a renowned Islamic Cleric, Sheik Abubakir Issa popularly known as Baba Ote Solaty (The Authentic Alfa) who invokes divine blessings on the Super Eagles asking the Almighty Allah to grant unprecedented success to the team and ANFASSC leadership.
The National President of ANFASSC expressed profound gratitude to Dr. Mujidat Folasade Tinubu-Ojo for accepting the role, describing her as a perfect mother figure; whose influence, passion and commitment will serve as a major inspiration to both ANFASSC and Nigerian Sporting families. He assured Nigerians that ANFASSC remain steadfast in its mission to champion the supporters’ culture and stand as the backbone required to keep the Eagles Soaring. Prince Ogunjimi reemphasized the importance of Iyaloja-General’s addition to ANFASSC as the one that will have its positive ripple effects across the country.
Finally, Ogunjimi reassured Nigerians of his unwavering commitment to amplifying the voices of support and encouragement essential for our national teams to flourish—at home, across the continent, and on the global stage.
