The Ogun State Government has reaffirmed that his administration would complete all the ongoing construction of roads across the three Senatorial Districts, to make it accessible and inviting to investors.
Special Adviser to the Governor on Works and Infrastructure, Engr. Akeem Adesina stated this while inspecting the just asphalted adjoining road section between the NNPC and Kuto bridges, as well as other link roads.
Engr. Adesina emphasised that the huge economic benefits of the road which links Abeokuta, the State Capital to Lagos and other neighbouring States is key, this necessitated the desire of government to get the road fixed within the shortest time.
He said, though the road was awarded by the immediate past administration but the contractor complained of shortage of fund, hence the need for government to mobilise the contractor back to site to ensure the project was not abandoned.
The Special Adviser explained that government care less about who a project was awarded to, as long as it was of economic importance, the present administration would always be willing to get the project completed as soon as possible.
He revealed that the opening of the just asphalted dualised flyover, as well as adjoining roads around NNPC-Kuto would bring succor to motorists, travellers and other investors.
A Commercial Driver, Mr. Aliu Aderibigbe commended the Governor for completing the project abandoned by the last administration, adding that it would ease the traffic along the axis.
