You will recall that the executive Chairman of Odeda Local Government Area, Hon. Folasade Adeyemo over the weekend took the initiative to fix some potholes causing persistent gridlock between Obantoko and the Camp area of Odeda local government.
Some excavation and evacuations of blocked drainage that usually flooded the road causing heavy traffic had been done, and now we have a free-flowing gutter in the axis; hence there has been ease of traffic jam culminating from the flooded road.
However, more still needed to be done in terms of putting more hardcore and stone dust to level up the potholes, but there is good news for the people of Odeda LGA as the house of assembly has decided to intervene by setting up a committee to look into fixing the remaining portion of the site where we began our rehabilitation and also to fix all the bad portions from Asero – Osiele and beyond.
The committee was the initiative of our House of Assembly representative, Hon Daisi Elemide who headed the committee which comprise representatives of different ministries and groups.
The committee came for the assessment tour of the bad portions of the road in Odeda LGA, and the chairman of Odeda local government, Hon. Folasade Adeyemo gladly received them, took them around the location that requires urgent attention for proper identification, documentation and to enable the team to hit the next line of action.
