The overall goal for the Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project (RAAMP) is for employment generation, improve the competitiveness of commodity value chains, and increase incomes of the commodity value chain actors through improved rural road infrastructure, agricultural processing and marketing systems. Furthermore, an improved rural access will enhance the agricultural potentials and marketing opportunities for the agrarian rural communities in Nigeria and, by extension, help in the improvement of livelihoods of the rural population.
With this recent development, our rural settlements will have a breath of new life, and at the same time, the value chains across board will usher in a new era of financial prosperity and food sufficiency in our dear Odeda Local Government Area, in Ogun State and our Nation, Nigeria.
The chairman charged RAAMP representatives not to delay in the implementation of the project as Odeda is waiting earnestly to see new developments in our rural areas when the inspected roads are put in the right shape.
The chairman also seize the opportunity to thank the Executive Governor of Ogun State, H.E Prince Dapo Abiodun MFR for allowing Odeda LGA to benefit from this amazing project, and in the same vein thanked the state Ministry of Rural Development for the opportunity given to Odeda Local government Area.
Hon. Folasade Adeyemo vows not to relent until our collective dream for a brand new Odeda Local Government Area comes to fruition.
