After 365 successful and fulfilling days in Office in office as the fisrt female executive chairman of Odeda local government, Honorable Folasade Adeyemo brandished a sparkling scorecard before the noble leaders and people of Odeda.
The Chairman, according to various people’s testimonies has made the political, religious, cultural, elitist and social class of Odeda very proud by her outstanding and unprecedented performance as the council boss.
Folasade was able to give a very commendable account of her stewardship to the people within the period of 365 days in office as the executive chairman of Odeda local government.
During her speech, she enumerated the following as some of the impacting projects she carried out within the period under review:
Launching of Keep Your Environment Clean Campaign (Sanitation Task Force)
Palliative Repairs of Road along Camp Road, Kotopo Area
Painting and Renovation of administrative/legislative block at the LG Secretariat
Purchase of new sets of furniture at the legislative chamber
Laying Foundation of Seventy-Two (72) lock up shops at Odo-Eran, Obantoko
Supply of writing materials to Primary Schools in Odeda local government.
On-site assessment of all Primary Health Care centres in Odeda local government
Monthly financial support to Baales (Community Heads) in Odeda LG
Financial support to CDAs and CDCs
Facilitated the establishment of Fan Milk Danone at Eweje Farm Settlement
Rehabilitation of the Treasurer’s office
Purchase of two(2) horse-power air conditioner for the Chairman’s office
Sinking of Borehole at the LG Secretariat
Constant support to the security agencies to help them maintain peace in the LG
Donation of 2 brand-new Patrol Motorcycles to SO-SAFE CORPS
Donation of 2 wheeled Chairs to physically challenged persons in the LG
Construction of 2 solar-powered street light at Dabonyin village, Odeda
Repair of local government CAT GRADER
Purchase of 2 brand new laptops for administrative purpose within the LG
Purchase of Public Address System for the Information Department
Grading minimum of 2 earth-roads per ward across the 10 wards in Odeda LG
Grading and laterite of earth road at palapala to Gbonagun area of Obantoko, Odeda
Energization of 500KvA transformer with erection of electric concrete pole at Obantoko
Empowerment programs for our Youths/Women across the 10 Wards of Odeda LG
Regular supply of Drugs to all our Primary Health care Centres
Financial support to party men, Women, Groups and societies
Constant attention to the people’s yearnings and demands with the council’s capability
Constant Visitation to our Hospitals and clinic to support Families in need(Assistance to the Triplets Family,Indisposed members of staff Receiving the 1st baby of the year) etc

Support to Primary School Sport Competition currently On-going
Supported British American Tobacco Nigeria Foundation to drill and installed a
solar-powered borehole at Adugan Village, Odeda.
Supported Macgregor Heritage Foundation to drill borehole at Elegun Mefa Village, Ilawo
Facilitated training for over One hundred and fifty(50) Youths/Women at NIFFR, SMEDAN,FAN MILK DANONE,OGUN STATE MINISTRY OF CULTURE & TOURISM, NDE etc
Support for our farmers,via training with ASSAPIN and Farmers Community Association(FCA)
Free distribution of Insecticides-treated net, constant participation of Immunization and various health programs which helps to engage our youths on regular basis
Collaboration with RUWATSAN to sensitize our villages on Health related matters
Drilling of borehole at Opeji (Ongoing)
Construction of 20 lock-up shops at Kila (Ongoing)
Renovation of 20 open stalls in Odeda(Ongoing)
Several other completed and ongoing projects might not have been captured in the aforementioned remarkable feats of Hon. Folasade Adeyemo but I will not fail to mention that during the celebration of her 1st anniversary, she launched yet another fantastic project she called “ODEDA MOBILE
CLINIC” she explained to the people that there are some villages in Odeda local government where there are no Health Centers, the 3 newly acquired tricycle ambulances from the state ministry of Health through Hon. Tomi Coker, will start touring villages and hamlets to offer free medical services to the people of Odeda local government.
During the celebration, Folasade remembered the falling comrade, Lt. Sunday Ogunjimi by supporting his family with financial gift, the Chairman also empowered twenty (20) youths; Two (2) each per wards across the 10 wards in Odeda local government as well as Fifty (50) aged Women; Five(5) per ward, across the 10 wards under her administration’s jurisdiction.
In attendance were, The Olu of Odeda, The immediate past Chief of Staff to Ogun State Governor, Hon Shuaib Afolabi Salis; Ogun Central APC Candidate, Odeda APC party Chairman, Hon, Musulumi Saka, The Immediate past Transition Chairman of Odeda LG, Hon. Semiu Bola Lawal, The Former SLG and Transition Chairman, Hon. Fatai Adebimpe, The Chief Imam of Odeda, Alhaji Sata’ar Oguntola, Odeda Legilative Arm led by Hon.Rotimi Adeyemi, the Executives and Career departments and other prominent leaders, sons and daughters of Odeda LG which time may not permit me to itemize one after the other.
The attendees were full of praise for the “Most Performing Chairman in Ogun State” like they all fondly described her, they all thanked the chairman for fulfilling her electoral promises and plead with her not to relent in her good and satisfactory approach to governance.
Hon. Shuaib Salis Afolabi; The Ogun Central APC candidate thanked the Chairman for representing the Governor well in Odeda local government, a performance like this always make governance easier for the state he added, I am very proud of all these achievements you recorded within just 365 days in office, you have made Mr. Governor very proud and I am very pleased with people’s remark about your administration.
Shuaib further charged the people to prepare to re-elect Prince Dapo Abiodun across the 10 wards of Odeda local government, if they want to continue to enjoy the dividends of democracy like they are enjoying under this administration from top to bottom
The Chairman, Hon. Folasade Adeyemo in her closing remarks thanked the leaders, party members and the great people of Odeda local government for their support and cooperation which has tremendously impacted her performance within her first 365 days in office as the chairman of the council, she further charged the people to get ready to re-elect Governor Dapo Abiodun MFR for his 2nd term in office so that the dividend of democracy they all enjoyed now will not be cornered by some selfish individuals.
