On Wednesday September 2, 2026, The JAKADIYAR KARSA HAUSA, Chief Dr. Mujidat Folasade Tinubu-Ojo, Convener and Founder of the Iyaloja-General Movement for Renewed Hope Alliance (IGM), has appointed Dr. Nasiru Ladan as the Director-General of the Iyaloja-General Movement, effective August 1, 2026.
Dr. Nasir Ladan Muhammed, popularly known by the traditional title Gado Da Masun Kebbi, was born in Argungu, Kebbi State. He is a medical doctor by profession, an accomplished businessman, and a politician with extensive experience in political organization, grassroots mobilization, and public service.
Prior to his appointment as the Director-General of the Iyaloja-General Movement (IGM), Dr. Nasir Ladan Muhammed held several prominent leadership positions within Nigeria’s political and development landscape.
He previously served as the National Director of Operations of the Buhari Support Organisation (BSO) and as the National Secretary of the Women and Youth Presidential Campaign Council. He also served as the Director-General of the Amalgamated APC Support Groups (AASG), where he played a significant role in coordinating and mobilizing support groups across the country.
Dr. Muhammed has also served as the Director-General of the National Directorate of Employment (NDE), contributing to national efforts focused on employment generation, skills development, and economic empowerment.
With a combination of professional expertise, political experience, administrative leadership, and grassroots engagement, Dr. Nasir Ladan Muhammed brings a wealth of experience to his new role as Director-General of the Iyaloja-General Movement.
The appointment is part of efforts to strengthen the administrative and operational structure of the Movement and enhance its capacity for effective grassroots mobilisation and nationwide coordination.
In her remarks, the Iyaloja-General stated that Dr. Ladan’s appointment places him in charge of the Movement’s day-to-day administration and nationwide operations, with responsibility for strengthening its structures across the six geopolitical zones and coordinating its activities at the state, local government, and grassroots levels.
As Director-General, Dr. Ladan will oversee membership expansion, grassroots mobilisation, stakeholder engagement, and the coordination of the Movement’s activities with market associations, community leaders, youth and women’s groups, as well as other relevant stakeholders.
The Iyaloja-General Movement is a nationwide grassroots platform committed to political mobilisation, the empowerment of traders, youths, women and men, socio-economic development, and the promotion of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda. The Movement is also focused on mobilising grassroots support for President Tinubu’s 2027 re-election bid.
Dr. Ladan’s appointment is expected to further strengthen the Movement’s administrative framework, expand its grassroots presence, and enhance its mobilisation efforts ahead of the 2027 General Elections.
In his acceptance speech, Dr. Nasiru Ladan expressed his appreciation to Chief Dr. Mujidat Folasade Tinubu-Ojo for the confidence and trust reposed in him. He pledged to deploy his wealth of experience, leadership capacity and political sagacity towards building the Iyaloja-General Movement into one of the strongest grassroots support platforms for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
Dr. Ladan further called on well-meaning Nigerians, political stakeholders, community leaders, market associations and support groups across the country to join forces with the Iyaloja-General Movement in driving nationwide grassroots mobilisation and support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and all All Progressives Congress (APC) candidates across the board.
He assured members and supporters of the Movement that he would prioritise effective coordination, grassroots engagement, inclusiveness and the expansion of the Movement’s structures across the country.
